Hi All--

Yesterday, 11 August 2012, Gene Bauer and I discovered a lone, adult
Swainson's Hawk over the eastern shore of Circle Lake, Rice Co. The hawk
ciricle a couple of times and then flew off to the north. I was able to
get a photograph, which can be seen in my blog:

Over the past week I have banded four migrants--two Yellow-bellied
Flycatchers and two Black-and-white Warblers. Otherwise, things have been
very slow at the bird nets.
