I was on the Mississippi River between the Camden Bridge and the new Lowry Ave Bridge and saw the newly established rookery. There was a camper on the island even. From the east river bed without binoculars I could see at least eight nests.
I know the herons lost their rookery in last years tornado, has anyone followed their recovery on the river?
