Down at "the stage" in Duluth's Leif Erickson Park this evening, starting right before dusk at about 1950k (7:50 PM local time), watched waves of Nighthawks darting and diving over my head as they winged their way south along the shore of Lake Superior. The main "parade" of 100-125 birds (estimated) lasted about 20 minutes, with most of the birds flying just above treetop level. Quite a sight!
