Hi All--

Yesterday, 31 August 2012, Erika and I saw a flock of 400 American White
Pelicans as they circled around the north edge of Red Wing, Goodhue Co.
Photos are on my blog: http://dantallmansbirdblog.blogspot.com

In the evening in Northfield, we banded a recently fledged Red-breasted
Nuthatch. This bird had very little body fat, no doubt migrating from an
area with scarce food resources. (They do not breed, to the best of my
knowledge, here in Rice Co.)
