This afternoon my visiting brother and I walked a portion of the end of
Park Point. After a little swimming in Lake Superior, we walked back to
the parking-lot, and had a small group of shorebirds (1 Semipalmated
Sandpiper, 2 Baird's Sandpipers and 1 Ruddy Turnstone). A little closer to
the parking-lot area of the beach, a lone Semipalmated Plover was seen. I
took some pictures, and will post some pictures likely tomorrow. Just
wanted to share my sightings, in case anyone was interested in doing some
shorebirding in Duluth tomorrow. During my brother's visit, he adopted a
Merlin at Hawk Ridge. That was the first bird he ever held, and was really
excited about it!

My eBird list from this afternoon at Park Point. Pictures to come a little
later!
