Despite the blustery cold day a lot of good birds were seen today.

McQuade Rd: Scenic Hwy 61

Say's Phoebe:  Peder Svingen and I re-found the Say's Phoebe that was
originally found by the MBW group this morning.  The Say's Phoebe was hawking
insects at the public restroom building at the McQuade Road Boat Launch located
along Scenic Hwy. 61  Also a possible Ross's Goose was feeding on new sod at
the base of the break wall as you come out of the pedestrian tunnel.  The size
was right but there were a 1-2 things were not quite right about it.. tough to
say if its a hybrid or a pure Ross's Goose.

Two Harbors Golf Course:
2 adult Ross's Goose and a Immature Ross's Goose were seen along Lake CR 2 just
north of Hwy. 61.

Wisconsin Point (Lot #1)
First cycle Lesser Black-backed Gull
First cycle Thayer's Gull
Oct 6 (Saturday)
Same two gulls above were seen as well as a second cycle Thayer's Gull and a
Western Grebe

Superior Entry (end of Wisconsin Pt)
We located another First cycle Lesser Black-backed Gull.  This gull flew into
Minnesota several times.
-Adult Thayer's Gull was seen several times flying into Minnesota

Other than the above birds that were seen today, there was a lot of Robins,
Junco's, Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs along Hwy 61  We did see a late
Palm Warbler at the public restroom building.

The winds will finally die off tomorrow!
