November 5, 2012: Sighting of Evening Grosbeak on our birdfeeder outside our Lodge window at Rainbow Resort, Waubun MN, a great photo opportunity. On Oct 31st we had 4 that came to the feeder. We are located in Becker County on the northern edge of Tamarac Wildlife Refuge, around 23 miles west of Itasca State Park. In years past we had dozens of Evening Grosbeak come to our feeders throughout the summer and winter but in recent years it seems that they do not stay for extended times as they once did.
