Hi all,

I walked out my back door this morning to a Red Crossbill flying through my yard, calling repeatedly. It didn't stop, and I don't know of any concentrations of conifers nearby, so it might be tough to re-find. But recent reports suggest it could be a good year in southern MN for some of the northern species (both crossbills, Bohemian Waxwing).

For those who are curious, I wasn't able to get a recording, but I'm fairly confident it was call type 3.

Good birding,
Matt Dufort
