I've had three small flocks of vocal Tundra Swans fly over my house in Goodhue Cty this week, heading east.
I also saw large flocks of Tundras fly over Lake Byllesby and surrounding fields today, heading southeast. It was very cold and windy, compared to yesterday. The mud flats are extensive at Byllesby now. There were few birds on the west end of the lake except gulls and crows, and no waterfowl at 2 pm when I was at the Lakeside Cemetery. At the Western Industrial Park, I found large flocks of about 90-100 mallards (combined) on the north and east pools, plus one American Black Duck.
