Hi All— To jump start out 2013 year list, Erika and I visited Prescott Wisconsin (opposite Dakota Co., MN) on New Year’s Day. We saw a pair of Lesser Scaup, photos of which I’ve posted on my blog. We also saw a number of gulls, but all seemed to be Herring Gulls. Unfortunately for my MN list, these birds were well within Wisconsin waters. There were, however, large numbers of Common Goldeneyes and Common Mergansers on the Minnesota side.
