I have a friend who lives in Bruno, Minnesota, who has Red Crossbills coming to his bird feeder. Initially, I thought he might be seeing Pine Grosbeaks, but upon describing their beaks, I'm pretty certain that he is in fact seeing Crossbills. I can only recall seeing crossbills once in my life at a feeder environment, and they were White Winged Crossbills. Has anyone out there ever seen Red Crossbills feeding from a bird feeder?
