Two Townsend's Solitaires, Ann Lake, Sherburne County, usual location. One
vocalizing.

Red Crossbills, Flicker reported from there yesterday.

WW Crossbills, Mahnomen Trail, Sherburne Refuge. They are more consistently in
the conifers of Blue Hill Trail, however.

Shrikes at both stops today. A shrike & solitaire exchanged pleasantries
briefly.

Two Black Ducks at Monticello yesterday. Nothing else unusual in
Trumpeter/Canada/Mallard feeding area.

So, where did the waxwings go? Neither flavor seen or heard this month.

Good birding!
