1/28/2013 Enjoyed the afternoon searching Lake county, for the recently posted Boreal Owls with Marlene Dollive. We were unsuccessful in our attempt to refind any of the previously posted Boreal Owls. But will likely try again tomorrow afternoon. Our highlight for the afternoon, was finding a pair of Long-tailed Ducks in the main harbor at Two Harbors. Here are a few of the species we encountered during the day: Long-tailed Duck - 2:45 pm - Two male Long-tailed Ducks were observed near the end of the break wall in Agate Bay, in Two Harbors.Bufflehead - 2:45 pm - A single female or immature male Bufflehead was observed swimming near the public boat access, for Agate Bay, in Two Harbors.Red-bellied Woodpecker - 2:30 pm - Heard near the intersection of 4th Avenue and 3rd Street.
