More uplifting than the cat and bird discussion is the news that the catbird overwintering in Kandiyohi county made it through another brutal week. I know the entire state was in the deep freeze, but for reference we had an actual air temp of -18 Friday morning and wind chills Thurs afternoon near -45. I am amazed at the survival skills of this neotrop.
