As I looked out my Lodge window this morning I was very surprised to see a
small
owl roosting on a tree limb. I believe it to be a Northern Saw-whet. The owl
roosted from 8:10 am until 2:40 pm changing once to another tree giving us an
even better view. Lucky day. It roosted very close to one of our bird feeding
station areas.

I am linking to one of the photos taken today on our Facebook page. I would
appreciate it if you experts out there could confirm for me that it is a
Northern
Saw-whet. I don't think it is a boreal.
