Duluth:

Yesterday I had a flock of 300-350 Bohemian Waxwings in our yard for most of
the day feeding on berries.  I also saw a FOY Brown Creeper working the trees
in our yard.

Sax Zim Bog:

I took my feeders down at the Admiral Rd feeder site and want to thank those
who filled up the feeders when they visited this feeder site.  This site was
very successful this winter with many sightings of Hoary Redpolls and of course
the Boreal Chickadees.  Sparky Stensaas proclaimed that the Admiral Rd feeders
is most likely the best spot in the lower 48 states to view Boreal Chickadees
and I must agree.  There were other sightings here including Brown Creeper,
Pine Grosbeaks, Common Redpolls and Gray Jays. Some mammal sightings such as
Short-tailed Weasel and Pine Martin were photograph at the feeders.

Rough-legged Hawks are moving through the bog right now, a Northern Shrike is
still hanging around on the Stone Lake Rd,  and several Kestrels have moved in
as well as Northern Harriers.

This week doesn't sound very good for migration as snow is forecast for
basically every day this week!
