SAX-ZIM BOG
Friday April 26th

Glorious day in the bog...with a mix of winter birds and newly-arrived migrants.

Thigh-deep to knee-deep snow back in the bogs but meadows and fields are 
opening up. Lakes still frozen but small streams open.

WINTER BIRDS
1 Rough-legged Hawk
1 N Shrike
flock of Common Redpolls

MIGRANTS
Fox Sparrows (common at Owl Avenue feeder site)


BREEDING SPECIES
Juncos, Killdeer, Wood Ducks, Kestrel, Tree Swallows
Golden-crowned Kinglets, Purple Finches, and Brown Creepers were all singing.
