At 7:00 this morning the location along the Root River off of highway 16 did
not hold any Ibises, and the horse pasture a short ways up county highway 7 did
not have any Snowy Egrets. Also the location south of Reno on highway 16 that
was reported two days ago to have Trumpeter Swans did not have any swans this
morning. The only birds of note were 3 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS in the flooded
field viewed from the canoe landing on the Root River, and PURPLE MARTINS have
returned to some of the nest boxes in Brownsville.
