WOW!!  I think Spring has sprung!  I birded Westwood Nature Center in St Louis
Pa rk tonight from 545pm to 730pm.  I was treated to a small warbler wave that
included Nashville, Tennessee, Palm, Yellow Rumped, Orange Crowned and Black
and White Warblers.  They were in some budding trees beyond the T dock, and
past the indented bench off that boardwalk.   And as a bonus I  also saw White
Crowned and White Throated Sparrows in the same wave!!   The other notables
were 11 y es 11 waterfowl species on the lake.  Bufflehead, Ruddy Duck, Blue
winged Teal, Hooded Merganser, Lesser Scaup, Ring Necked Duck, Horned Grebe,
Pied Billed Grebe, Wood Duck, and of course Mallard and Canada Goose.  A 46
species evening was the net result!
