The two white-faced ibis that I reported earlier were still present in the
same spot along 180 St. NE west of Thief River Falls at 3:pm. To get there,
take US 59 north through town and towards Newfolden. At 180 St. NE turn
right . The birds were about a quarter to a half mile east along that road
working the north ditch and adjacent plowed field. When in the field, they
were very difficult to see as they were nearly the same tone as the dirt.

Also, Ron Erpelding and I found the three white-faced ibis in Kittson County
between St Vincent and the Red River bridge along highway 175 working the
edge of a patch of water on the south side.

Other news: The Ontario listserve recently mentioned a Glossy Ibis near Fort
Francis that was last seen flying towards Rainy Lake that may have wandered
into Koochiching County!

Happy Ibis hunting!
