At 10:30am today (Sunday), Stephanie and I spotted a single Black-crowned Night Heron in the small pond inside the exit loop from 394 westbound onto General Mills Blvd. The bird was perched in a tree and was in the same spot when we drove by again at 1:00pm. Unfortunately, all views are through a chain-link fence and there is no safe place to park.
