As I read "The Loon" this evening, realizing it will be my final one for a while, I wanted to say thanks.
Thanks to the board for excellent leadership, and for allowing me to work with field trips. Thank you to the Records Committee (yes, you read that correctly) for rejecting documentation that probably should have been rejected, pushing me to identify in greater detail. Yes, I grumbled, but I also learned. You have a tough job, thanks for taking it on. Thank you to each who attended field trips, for making birding together a joy. Thank you, MOU-net, for the chance to share. A couple more reports are probably still coming, since we don't leave until 5/20 (although birding will need to be sandwiched between packings). Thank you to many for friendship. And - as a word of encouragement - the warblers ARE coming. Had 18 in a very small patch in southern WI the last two mornings while visiting family. Blessings!
