A few days before the Festival of Birds there were pine, American redstart, bay-breasted, chestnut-sided, palm and yellow-rumped warblers at Tamarac and Wilson's phalaropes at the sewage ponds in Lake Park. There is as yet little foliage on the trees so it should be easy viewing for the field trips with the festival. We are hoping that the warm temps and south winds will bring more birds to the area.
