I recently returned from an eight day canoe trip in Ontario¹s Quetico
wilderness. As I paddled up Canadian Lake Agnes, which was still iced in on
its north end about 30 miles north of the border, and large patches of snow
on its east shore (May 25th) I saw a large swan flying east low over the
water, I couldn¹t really identify what kind, and to my surprise as we
stopped for lunch awhile later we were visited for several minutes by a male
ruby-throated hummingbird.
I have been making periodic early spring canoe trips to the Quetico for
over 50 years and those were both firsts...and all the usuals were
present... northern woodpeckers, loons, mergansers, ³camp² jays, bald eagles
and a wealth of migrating warblers...and the lake trout fishing was
excellent !

Subject: [mnbird] eBird comments

Hi All‹

After I thought I had posted a map showing the location of a Lark Sparrow
along the Cannon River Trail on a recent eBird list, Gerry Hoekstra said he
could not see my map.

It turns out that the comments section on an eBird list is only visible to
the author of the list. The public can see comments under individual
species, but not the section of comments for the whole list.

So I moved my map so it appears in the Lark Sparrow comment box.
