Just in case anyone is planning to visit the refuge this weekend, and you want to see a lark sparrow, there have been two birds hanging out around the parking area and driveway of our office/HQ building on CR 9. Today, about 2 p.m., they were foraging right in front of our garage doors, yesterday they were at the end of the driveway where we turn onto CR 9 and I flushed one that few straight across CR 9 into the woods. Just mentioning this because it seems there's often birders asking about where to find this species. Of course, no promise that they'll stick around, but they've been here at least 3 days.
