I was in Kittson County for a co Maybe John just answered my question. I was in Kittson County for a couple of days, and saw a group of 17 marbled godwits (July 1) in a large field. I pulled over to look at them - count them - and try to get a photo. They took off in a generally SSE direction and just kept climbing until I couldn't see them anymore. This looked to me like migration behavior, and not just getting away from a curious on-looker.
