I found a Franklin's Gull (adult/near-adult) this morning on the lake-side
of the Park Point beach house. It was hanging out with Ring-billed Gulls.
Being a gull nerd, it is a thrill to see such beautiful scalloping, field
marks and colors throughout the juvenile Ring-billed Gulls this time of
year.

I went for a walk yesterday morning throughout Hartley Nature Center.
Living just a few blocks downhill of there, I'm thankful to have such a
cool place to do green-birding without using a vehicle. Mourning Warblers
were a highlight, but a great spectrum of birds were observed throughout
the hike.
