The mudflats at Nelson Pool, on the Prairie's Edge Wildlife Drive, have
attracted least, pectoral and solitary sandpipers this week, as well as greater
yellowlegs and killdeer.  There has also been a least bittern seen and heard
near the water control structure.  Thanks to Paul Johnson for the heads-up on
these sightings.

The Blue Hill Trail will be closed for approximately 3 weeks, beginning Monday,
as work commences on an oak savanna restoration project in that area.  We will
be working on this project for the next two years, and it will require us to
close that trail, intermittently, while work is being performed.  I will
provide information on closures via this list serve.  Thanks for your patience
and understanding while we work to restore red-headed woodpecker habitat!
