On 8/6, I found 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper in the second to last wet, plowed field at the south end of Jirik Sod Farms, on the west side of Blaine Avenue, among many Killdeer. It disappeared quickly, and I didn't relocate it in the grass or the field.
Also on 8/6, In a flooded field on the west side of Alta Avenue, 1/4 mi. north of 94 (Cannon River Blvd.) were: 9 Lesser Yellowlegs 1 Spotted Sandpiper 4 Green Herons 1 Great Blue Heron many Killdeer, some Mallards The same birds were at the Alta Avenue location today, along with 2 Baird's Sandpipers, 3 more Spotted Sandpipers and 5 Least Sandpipers. The water had gone down at Alta, but the field was still wet, with some standing water.
