My student who alerted me to the presence of the booming male Greater Prairie 
Chicken 4 mi N and 1 mi W of Pipestone last March, just informed me that he 
recently saw a hen prairie chicken  with a brood in the same vicinity!    It 
might be worth spending a few mornings listening for boomers in that area next 
spring!
