We still have a pair of Sandhills hanging out in my field (they seem to be
going after the broad leaf arrowhead tubers)...this is the same pair we have
seen since August. We have watched them do their mating dance ritual several
times.

Subject: [mou-net] Sandhill Crane Tours at Sherburne

The sandhill crane tours scheduled for this coming Saturday and Sunday mornings
at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge are still "ON".

Please visit our website to see details on the tours.  You must pre-register
for them by calling or emailing the refuge.  763/ 389-3323 ext. 13  or
sherburne @fws.gov . If you call after office hours, leave your name, phone
number, and number of people who will be attending.  Because of the shut-down,
and uncertainty about whether we'd be able to do the tours, I didn't advertise
much, so we have plenty of room. Tony Hewitt, our refuge biologist, will be
leading the tours.
