November 8, 2013 Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter Washington County Birding Day November 8, 2013 Field Trip Report While leading a trip for MRVAC, our group spent time birding at the Grey Cloud Dunes SNA, Point Douglas county park and the Carpenter Nature Center and a few other locations in Washington county. Here are a few of the species that we observed on the trip: Gadwall, American Black Duck and Northern Pintail - These were observed in a small pond on the North side of 110th ST S, just East of Jamaica Ave. South. Pied-billed Grebe Cooper's Hawk Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - This bird was observed just East of the visitor center at Carpenter Nature Center. Merlin - Observed along 103rd St S, just West of Hadley Ave. S.
