We had a Golden Eagle stop by this afternoon, to spend a few minutes soaring
over our home along the St. Croix River, about 3 miles downstream from Taylors
Falls, Chisago County, MN. There was an adult Bald Eagle using the same
thermals over the river bluffs. A mob of crows stopped by and encouraged the
Golden Eagle to move on. The golden nape on the eagle was absolutely stunning
in the bright afternoon sun today.

Today's (not too great) photos at:

A big thank you to Scott Mehus, at the National Eagle Center, for his great
Golden Eagle identification class! It worked for me. Thank you, thank you, ...
