As part of the Bloomington CBC, limited access has been obtained for birders to enter the grounds of the Black Dog Power Plant on Saturday, December 14th. Birders will be allowed to enter through the main gate as a group at 10 AM, and again at 3:30 PM, to view birds from the causeway separating the two cooling ponds. If you would like to join either party, please park just outside of the main entrance along Black Dog Road, along the Minnesota River. Arrive prior to the entry times as the group will enter promptly at the noted times. Sean Peterson, who is participating in the CBC, will be leading the group onto the property.
