I found four Yellow-rumped Warblers along the Cannon River at Miesville
Ravine County Park this afternoon. I was able to see the thin warbler
bills, yellow rump patches and other characteristics with binoculars to
confirm identity of these out of season birds. They were found along the
river where a close south facing slope offers a lot of protected habitat.
The water remains open and these birds were seen at the waters edge. Other
birds included a White-throated Sparrow. Two flocks of Eastern Bluebirds
(total of 24), Robins, Flickers, Trumpeter Swans and many other regulars.
