The female King Eider was seen again today (December 22nd) at Brighton Beach,
hanging out with Common Goldeneyes- presumably this is the same bird found by
Greg Garmer at 21st Avenue East on December 12th, though it hadn't been seen
since December 14th, and some observers felt the bird looked ill. Extensive ice
build-up closer to town has pushed many foraging ducks further east- Brighton
Beach is a little over 4 miles from 21st Avenue East.
