Hello,

Guided a birder from the state of Virginia on Tuesday.

Highlights:

Northern Hawk Owl in Sax Zim Bog along CR 7 at the Byrnes Greenhouse.

Great Gray Owl in Sax Zim Bog at the Admiral feeders. Perched right above
feeders preying on voles.

Boreal Chickadees (2) at the Admiral Rd with Gray Jays.

Guiding a group of birders from Ohio today and tomorrow.

Highlights:

Evening Grosbeaks along CR 444 in NW of Sax Zim Bog. Take admiral rd or
Mcquade Rd to Zim Rd (CR 27) and travel west on CR 27 to HWY 5. Cross over
HWY 5 and stay on CR 27 to the first intersection and take a right on CR
444. The feeders can be viewed from county rd. It's the first house on
right once you turn north on CR 444. These feeders in the past have
attracted Evening Grosbeaks.

Northern Hawk Owls: All sightings in Sax Zim Bog. 1. On Stone Lake Rd (CR
319) about 2 miles east of CR 7. There is white pipe above ground. Look way
off on tree stand on south end of large open area. Most likely same owl
seen yesterday at Byrnes Greenhouse yesterday. 2. 200 yards south of Arkola
Rd (CR52) on Owl Avenue on east side.

Snowy Owl in Duluth on the Riley Rd off Jean Duluth Rd.

Boreal Chickadees, Gray Jays at Admiral Rd in Sax Zim Bog.

Pine Grosbeaks at Sax Zim Bog Welcome Center off Owl Avenue.

Heading to Aitkin Co tomorrow.

Mike
