A very dark heavily-barred Snowy Owl found atop a house this morning (9:00 am, Jan. 15) at 1363 Bradford St. SE, between Detroit and Denver Aves., in southeast Hutchinson MN (just north of the Menard's Store which is along MN Hwy. 15 at south end of Hutch). This house stands all alone in a new development area and appears to be vacant with a large For Sale sign in front. (Need to wind your way along several new roads to reach this house). (most likely the same owl reported in this area from 2 days ago?)
Also, the Northern Hawk Owl is still at the previously reported area about 7 miles north of Hutchinson on Tagus Ave (McLeod CR 12) just south of 230th St. If it is not on a pole or wire, look in the tree tops just east of the highway.
