*Since winter is bound to make birding hikes very challenging for awhile
longer, those eager to enjoy avian feats and learn more about birds might
want to take advantage of an upcoming program at Carpenter Nature Center
(12805 St. Croix Trail, Hastings, 55033):*

*Masters of the Sky
<http://carpenternaturecenter.org/events/masters-of-the-sky/>*

*March 1st & 2nd*

*Show times: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. *

*This is a chance to see several fascinating species of birds, raptors in
particular, including a Snowy Owl, in person. World Bird Sanctuary's
program is both informative and entertaining, and provides opportunity for
close encounter. It's an especially good way to engage the interest of
youth in the world of birds, while enhancing your own knowledge. *

*Admission is $10, $7 for Friends of CNC. The program is popular, so call
to make reservations, at * 651-437-4359
