This morning I observed an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull standing on the snow covered ice of Black Dog Lake, Dakota County, it was in with a mixed flock of Herring and Ring-billed Gulls.
It finally felt like Spring here in the Metro along Black Dog Road this week with a Red-winged Blackbird vocalizing and 12 species of Ducks enjoying the limited open water in this area.
