Birders, I apologize if this is too off topic for this list, but I believe many here will be interested in this get-together.
The Conservation Biology program at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities is hosting its first annual Conservation Biology Research Spotlight Fundraiser on March 31, 2013. More information can be found here: http://www.doitgreen.org/events/umn-conservation-biology-research-spotlight-fundraiser Many of the students who will be presenting posters or talking about their research work with birds in or around Minnesota or the mid-west. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with students about their research in a relaxed environment. There will also be a silent auction with some neat bird related prizes including "Adopt-a-Plover" where you can "adopt" a Great Lakes color banded Piping Plover, some framed bird photography, and more! Feel free to pass the word along. I hope to see you there!
