*Tales from Laura's Big Year*

*Thursday March 27, 2014 @ 7:30 pm *

Presented by Laura Erickson, Duluth, MN

Laura Erickson spent 2013 trying to see as many regularly occurring
species, especially those of conservation interest, as she could find in
the Lower 48. Traveling from Machias Seal Island off the coast of Maine to
Santa Cruz Island off California she found herself within 20 feet of a
mountain lion, getting stuck in the snow in the Chiricahua Mountains and up
close and personal with a diamondback rattlesnake. See photos of some of
the great birds she saw and find out what's involved in committing to a
birding big year. If you have never heard Laura speak, come find out why
this Minnesota author, radio personality, and national known birding expert
is one of the most sought after speakers in the state.
