Early this morning while overcast and rainy there were many Greater
White-fronted and Snow Geese in the fields of Dakota County. The heaviest
concentration in one spot were in the flooded fields east of Randolph Boulevard
across from the Great Western Industrial Park in Randolph. There were 400 +
GWFG packed in at rest blending in with the fields and 65 SNGO that I could see
as well as numerous ducks.

I heard 3 Western and 3 Eastern Meadowlarks singing inside the Great Western
Industrial Park, and there were more Greater White-fronted and Cackling Geese
in the Dressler Court pond. The frosting on the cake for me was when a covey
of 6 Gray Partridge flushed from the grassy hillside as I drove by.
