I was down below the dam in Thief River Falls just now and observed a very strange large Canada Goose. The coloring was all normal except that it had a white neck covered with small irregular black spots culminating in the back with a collar the same. The lower part of the color was a very even arc just as a decorative collar on a dress. I did not see the front of the goose and was unable to get a photo due to snow and trees in the way. This plumage looked very bizarre! I have never seen anything quite like this one before.
