We had 14 participate in the MOU field trip this morning. The rain only lasted the first part of the walk. Some of the birders had "first of the year" birds like Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, good numbers of Yellow-rumped Warbler, Ruby-crowned & Golden-crowned Kinglet. A few of the group were able to see (1) shy Winter Wren.
The group moved to Lake Byllesby west end access to scope that out. Highlights there included Greater White-fronted Goose, Snow Goose, (1)Ross's Goose, Pectoral Sandpiper, Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs. Thanks to all who joined me. I enjoyed your company. -- KEVIN D.
