Is there any wetland species, other than Virginia Rail, that makes the "kid-DICK, kid-DICK, kid-DICK, kid-DICK" call? It came from the depths of the wetland area west of Lilydale Lake this afternoon, but no amount of binocular-searching found its maker, and I didn't think to try playing the rail call.
