Just before noon today I found a Western Grebe on Lilydale Lake, Lilydale Regional Park, in (obviously) Lilydale, Dakota County. This lake straddles the boundary with St. Paul, so with a good deal of luck it might also be found in Ramsey County. This is a very unusual location to find this species.
