Hey birders,

In the fall the Bethany Hawk Watch site is located on the campus of Bethany
Lutheran College in Mankato where it easy for me to assist in the counting.
This spring, Jim Amundson, one of our primary counters, decided to count and
see and has done so at Land of Memories City Park off of Hwy 169/60 at the
confluence of the Blue Earth and Minnesota Rivers.  He has been joined by Marty
Rost and John Nelson many days and they normally park in the campground.
Visitors are welcome!

Yesterday they had 676 raptors including 648 Broad-winged Hawks.  Today I would
expect they will push the season total over 2,000 birds.  Highlights for the
spring season have included 3 Northern Goshawks and Red-shouldered Hawk.

Happy birding!

will tell you; Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has
done this?" --Job 12:7, 9
