At the CR 5 entry, one LASP. On the Mahnomen Trail, a lot of YRWAs, only one
(or two) HETH, and one swamp sparrow. Also a big snapping turtle that
might have weighed 10 lbs and single cranes flying over.

On the Prairie Drive, late and dark cloudy, one very loud and happy brown
thrasher that needed scope for visual i.d. At the same place, a flock of 7
Brewer's blackbirds in tree top. John Conelly (sp?) was ahead of me and had
seen 15 in the flock on the ground earlier. The east part of the North
loop of the Drive has been extensively burned-cattail marshes, grassland,
and into woods.

Thanks to everyone who puts the County of observation on the Subject line.
There is a lot of email at this time of year and it helps process the inbox
every day.
