today I was hanging around the house working on a project. Glancing out my window I saw a few warblers including a beautiful Mourning and Chestnut-sided. We also had a flock of White-throated Sparrows hanging around by the shore. A couple of days ago I checked some mouse traps in my garage and found that I had caught a Pygmy Shrew. I had caught Short-tailed Shrews before, but this is the first time I had ever seen a Pygmy Shrew.
